The Phantom of the Opera at His Majesty's Theatre

Booking

Booking was made via LW theatre dedicated telephone line.  I have previous registered for access tickets but currently LW do not have facilities to book wheelchair seats online. However booking over the phone was easy.

Access Ticket £69.50

Essential Carer Ticket Free

Theatre Location

Great Location minutes from Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square.

Lots of accessible restaurants with pre theatre menus although booking in advance is recommended as it gets very busy.

Theatre Access

Access to the theatre is via a side door which goes straight into the stalls so you miss the lobby.

I did not need to access the bar as the access host got all refreshments for us.

Access Host

The access host service was by far the best we have experienced. They showed us to our seats and showed us the accessible toilet which is located in a corridor off the stalls.

They got all our refreshments before the show and during the interval.

At the end they escorted us out.

The care, consideration and effort was way above the normal service were receive.

Seat and Staging

We sat in J8 and J7.

The wheelchair space (J7) was great. They had removed the seat behind the wheelchair space which meant that I was not obstructing the view of any other patrons.

The staging of the show meant that from the seat I could see everything.

Toilets

The toilet was located very near to the wheelchair space in a corridor off the stalls.

However it was average size. I could comfortably fit a power chair face on but with no turning space. It would be difficult to side transfer. However it is larger than other theatres.

.

I visited in October 2023 and all views expressed above are my personal opinion.

It was my first visit to His Majesty's Theatre
